Go to your bosom: knock there, and ask your heart what it doth know. —William Shakespeare
Almost every time I attend a meeting on Step Eleven, I begin by saying it is my favorite Step. I would not have come to Nicotine Anonymous if it were not for my own personal morning prayer.
At this point, I have a little over fourteen years off nicotine. I feel like I would be incomplete without prayer and meditation. I pray in the shower, in my car, and all through the day. I also meditate actively during as much of my day as I can. I just look and listen to see or hear messages from my Higher Power that guide me to be the best I can be. Formal prayer and meditation are the ways I search for God and find what God has in store for me.
Today, I will consciously seek my Higher Power to discover the best life has to offer me.
