One of the biggest problems I had with my withdrawal from nicotine, I wanted to stuff my face with food. Especially sweets. Instead of sitting in the feeling and feeling, I wanted something to put into my mouth. The program told me that the weight could wait and it really could but I did have some health issues already. I was pre-diabetic back then. The extra weight was a problem for me and I had to address it. That meant, I had to watch what types of food I was putting into my mouth. I was learning to take care of myself. I did not diet but I did start making better choices. Water was a good thing to use to distract from the cravings.
