Before The Devil Knows We're Dead

I did this one with artist loft watercolor pencils and sharpies on my mixed media paper. I really love the watercolor pencils for backgrounds and blending. I really need to work on my shading though. I am not very happy with the way I do it.  I have a friend who may be able to help me with that. I love the way she does her work too.  She is on Facebook and also in nicotine recovery. I am really liking this girl for her support. We have very similar backgrounds I think. I know I could learn from her.

I think every since I have started back to drawing and painting, my moods have been more stable and I feel happier. It gives me time to process things and calm down to get to my inner voice. When I was working on the above piece, I was thinking about how I was going to enjoy the rest of my life.  I don't have to do evil things. I can reap the rewards of my labor of working the 12 Steps of Nicotine Anonymous now. So let's do another round of those 12 Steps!
