Making a Mandala Plate

I am currently working on this plate above.  I first prepped a black plate with a couple of coats 2x Ultra Matte Clear. This gave me something for my paint to stick on. Come in on Wednesday and grab a plate and paint it with me. I am charging $15 for a prep plate, ready to paint.

Below are the colors choices in paints and markers I used. The multi-surface paint will cure in 21 days or you can heat it at 350 for 30 minutes.

I used the below stencil for my guideline. I laid this down on the plate.  I filled in with a marker. This gave me the guidelines for my mandala. When I do these I consider myself cheating a little. It is still my design. I also do my own guidelines or modify other ones.  It depends on how I am feeling at the time.  I use this time as a meditative art.

Here are the dotting tools. I have no clue as to what the sizes

I will be at the Studio on Weds at 11 AM for people wanting to do a Plate Mandala.   Come on by. Next door has great Panini and Pizza, not to mention rolled ice cream.
